Just as we are becoming more environmentally conscious and aware of the need to improve the condition of our planet; we are also becoming more aware of the need to improve the condition of our own health. As obesity has become a major problem in our country, we have decided to educate ourselves on what to do about it. We are learning what current practices in industrial farming may not be the best for the food we eat and the environment in which we live. We are learning why we may want to curb our intake of or completely eliminate meat from our diets. We are learning about organic produce and purchasing local products without over packaging. We are learning about the ease and fun which can be associated with having our own gardens. We are learning ways in which we should be eating and the importance of exercise. Nowadays people are wanting to be better and live better, and are finding that there is a money saving bonus in it all.
