The heart is the most important muscle in the body, and the foods that you eat can affect how your heart operates. Its important to eat healthy so your heart can be strong and pump blood throughout the body. Heart-healthy foods are available in most supermarkets, select a few personal favorites and you should be able to prevent heart disease.
Cholesterol is very important when it comes to eating heart healthy foods. There are good cholesterol and bad cholesterol. Good cholesterol or HDL, overcomes bad cholesterol (LDL) in the liver, which can be broken down and then taken out of the body. LDL cholesterol is not required by your body in all foods. Our body produces enough of this type of cholesterol itself.
LDL cholesterol isn’t good for our hearts, not HDL cholesterol, which reduces the amount of LDL in the body. LDL means low density lipoprotein. Because this substance has a low density, it doesn’t pass from the blood as easily as it should. Red Blood Cells release the LDL cholesterol and adhere to the walls of blood vessels, especially in the arteries of your heart. This is bad for many number of reasons.
First, if the LDL cholesterol accumulates in the arteries, it will reduce the amount of blood going through it. Meaning that the heart must pump harder and faster to allow the same amount of blood flowing through your body. Over time, the heart will get tired and weaken. And if the blood vessel get LDL cholesterol build up, then the arteries may close. When this happens, your heart panics because its not getting blood, so the heart begins to beat faster to try to pump blood.
This can lead to a heart attack. A heart attack occurs when there’s a build up of LDL cholesterol, called plaque. Plaque can break and drop into the blood stream. When it reaches the lower part of the blood vessel, it gets stuck and block blood, which can cause a heart attack. A stroke can happen when plaque travels to the brain instead of the heart. Therefore, it is only essential to reduce your diet high in cholesterol, so you can avoid heart disease and other problems in the body.

Glad to read this post, I actually have a heart problem history that runs through my family. So I really need to take care of my heart, since I think I abused it when I was younger. Because then we are not that aware of the essence of being healthy by eating healthy food. But now I’m changing my lifestyle, since I’m a young adult. Got to be more responsible and I will for sure take note of the tips you gave in this post. Thanks!

Totally agree with you that “Its important to eat healthy so our heart can be strong and pump blood throughout the body”.Now my uncle is suffering from heart attack and i was not aware about how this heart attack occurs?Many doctors also use to say this is heredity disease.From today i just try to eat healthy foods avoiding all useless foods.Heart attack is the danger disease after having it we don’t have long life.So i will try to recommend your useful blog to all of my friends.Love your blog and information.
