While the simple workouts can be done in 5 minutes, the advocated, complete, full body workout system actually takes a lot longer. In fact, it takes about one hour a day, 5 days a week. In short, it is not for the busy mom. But while it is understated by the program, this kind of effort is really what it takes in real life to sculpt your body. So it is pretty realistic in that sense.
Let us look a little deeper into the workouts themselves. It is designed around the 5 problem areas of women, namely the thighs, stomach, buttocks, shoulders, and back. You might note that these are the same areas already targeted by many gyms out there. It is not new. However, the actual exercises are pretty uncommon and therefore more demanding on your body. This is actually a good thing for it will shape you up much faster.
As for the other books, the Recipes and the Myths, they are enlightening and educational, especially for those who are trying to get fit for the very first time. But for those who are thinking of getting shapelier, there is really nothing new there that you cannot obtain through some research over the internet.
All in all, the Flavilicious Fitness is not a fad. But it is not revolutionary either. Follow this program if you have not done anything of the sort before. With determination, you can expect good results from it. You can also follow it if you are looking for more variations in your exercise program. But for novelty, it does not win any points for me.
