Mommy Without Pounds Review: Postpartum Weight Loss
This isn’t information that I discovered or anything, it’s something I learned from Michelle Moss. We are not talking about just any individual here, we are talking about the next best thing since wonder woman. Michelle spent 15 years as a Health and Nutrition Coach, she also has a Masters Degree in Holistic Nutrition, a Kinesiology Diploma, and a certificate in Personal Training. I think it’s pretty safe to say she knows her stuff.
Michelle has a proven track record with her success formula dealing with postpartum weight loss. Michelle dove in heart and soul and has really done a ton of research and discovered that most new mothers simply let themselves go and end up giving into their cravings. To break it down in laymen’s terms, they simply stop exercising and use their pregnancy as and excuse to justify their actions.
Chances are that you have heard the stories about those pregnant mothers who come up with crazy justifications like, “If I am craving it that must mean that the baby needs it.” Well that is wrong… Sort of… The majority of the time those cravings are the bodies way of telling you what your body needs and what the baby needs.
Let’s say that you are craving foods with a lot of sodium, that is a tale – tale sign that you may be eating too many foods that are high in sugar. The trick is being able to understand what it is that your body is trying to tell you. Although most pregnant women are aware that nutrition plays a big role in their pregnancy, and they still fail to take it serious.
One way or another the baby will take what it needs wether you like it or not. Your unborn child will take the calcium it needs from the bones of the mother or deplete the mothers iron reserves which can lead to anemia. All of this can be avoided by doing two things, education yourself, and taking care of yourself while pregnant. You will want to get all of the nutrients that you need – this will allow your baby to get it’s nourishment from the food and not your body reserves. If you follow that simple advise chances are you will avoid morning sickness, hair loss, and other negative pregnancy side effects that come along with being pregnant.
Let me warn you of another pitfall that you need to be aware of – most pregnancy books tend to focus on the baby. If you were to listen to them they would tell you to increase your calorie intake and to exercise. At first glance that sounds good, but they always leave a few details out such as tips like don’t lift over your head, and you shouldn’t lie on your back after the first trimester.
For the most part there were only two types of books out there for women who wanted information regarding postpartum weight loss. There was the extremely medical and there was the superficial which didn’t do anything to benefit you whatsoever. This is when I realized that I had to do something about it. I found a program that would get you through your pregnancy and in better shape than 90% of the woman out there. The best part is you could accomplish this in as little as 27 minutes a day and with minimal effort.
